Week of July 5
The Contractor continued to set piers for the new wall foundation (where the stucco wall and short walls were) and a trench was dug along the
existing Eddie Mann walls (Plano Road only) to accomodate a foundation for the brick/stone to sit on. On the existing Eddie Mann walls (Campbell
Road only), brick ties were installed. Rminder - the brick/stone will sit directly on the Campbell Road sidewalk - no foundation needed.
Week of June 28
The Contractor continued to set piers for the new wall foundation (where the stucco wall and short walls were).
Week of June 21
The Contractor began to set piers for the new wall foundation (where the stucco wall and short walls were). The Contractor also poured new
sidewalk sections for those areas removed during the demolition phase. Reminder - the sidewalk north of Woodoak will be replaced with grass -
when the 23-acre lot at the SE corner of Lookout Dr and Plano Rd is developed, a new sidewalk will be put in at that time.
Week of June 14
The Contractor staked for the new wall foundation (where the stucco wall was) and removed the 2 trees (per plan - one south of Shannon and one at
the back corner of 1400 Jennifer; no other trees including crape myrtles will need to be removed).
Week of June 7
The Contractor demolished and removed all stucco wall sections (including 1400 Jennifer – temporary fencing installed) and all Eddie Mann short
wall sections.
Week of May 31
The Contractor began demolition (cutting) of the stucco wall and Eddie Mann short walls. The City marked the layout of the entry signs on the new
short walls.
Week of May 24
The Contractor put up black screening along Plano Rd - this is intended to trap debris created during the construction process. Please do not
disturb or remove this screening. The City marked the layout of the new short walls. Remember, they will be higher and may not extend to the
street as much as today.
Week of May 17
The City placed large samples of the selected brick and stone against the wall at Owens Blvd & Plano Rd. Be sure to check them out!
